When it comes to lithium-ion batteries, years of accumulated knowledge matters. Green Cubes Technology has accrued decades of experience in lithium-ion battery knowledge across diverse applications. Green Cubes was there when the market progressed from lead-acid to NiMH to lithium-ion.
We were one of the first battery pack manufacturers to utilize Benchmark fuel gauges, the first smart-chip microprocessors designed for Battery Management System (BMS) electronics and later acquired by Texas Instruments.
We pioneered the use of emerging Lithium Iron Phosphate cells in a medical application. These initial applications, which delivered unprecedented cycle life and much longer run times, pioneered the utilization and acceptance of Lithium Iron Phosphate by the medical community. After 30 years of developing hundreds of battery systems for multiple applications, we understand the advantages and, more importantly, the limitations of lithium-ion batteries. Our projects have helped customers achieve their operational, technical and commercial goals.
The battery is a medium that stores energy in its potential form. There are many battery chemistries, all with advantages and disadvantages. Lead-acid efficiency is only 70%, which means 30% of this precious energy is wasted as heat due to poor reactivity and high impedance. Relative to the lithium-ion life cycle, it has a short life span.
Millions of tons of lead-acid batteries go back to smelters where poisonous lead affects our communities for recycling. Green Cubes designs and manufactures rechargeable lithium-ion-ion battery solutions that are safer and accessible and thus ease the migration away from lead-acid batteries. Regardless of the underlying energy source, our vision is to design platforms to help accelerate the adoption of cleaner energy mediums.
